Backtagging: Absolutely! It's how I do most of my threading.
Threadhopping: I LOVE... THREADJACKING!!! All I ask if that there's something serious and plotty going on that you please ask me first.
Fourthwalling: It's kind of built into DDLC as a canon, huh!!! I'm totally fine with canon-typical fourth walling/canon puncturing, just give me a heads up if it's something you plan to pursue so I can make plans for Yuri dealing with All That.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Please warn for excessive drinking and alcoholism if they come up. I'm also TERRIFIED of spiders and needles, so please don't post any images of them! I can handle descriptions as long as they're warned for, though.

Hugging this character: Yes! Depending on the CR, Yuri might not be okay with it but she'll usually be fine if she's given a heads up first.
Kissing this character: Same as above!
Flirting with this character: PLEASE flirt with her. She might not take it very seriously (or assume it's being done out of pity) but she'll get very flustered regardless and it would be cute.
Fighting with this character: Give me a heads up! Yuri's just your average teen girl so she's not exactly up for fighting.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Give me a heads up first!

Warnings: Doki Doki Literature Club as a canon deals heavily with themes of unreality, mental illness, self-harm and suicide, abuse and psychological horror. I primarily play Yuri from the first act of the game (unless otherwise noted) where this content is minimal, but anxiety and self harm are themes that may come up when pursuing CR with Yuri. More specifically (highlight for info, cw for self harm:) My interpretation of Yuri is that she is a self-harm survivor who struggled with it in middle school but is on the road to recovery as of the start of the game. This may come up in threads if there is a situation where characters see Yuri's scars (on her arms) but I am not interested in playing out any sort of relapse on Yuri's part. If this is an issue for you, please comment below (comments are screened!) to let me know if you would like to avoid this content or opt out of tagging Yuri because of it.

In addition, Yuri suffers from poor self esteem and often dips into negative self-talk and self-deprecation. It's not something I can entirely avoid when writing her, but if this bothers you then let me know and I'll tone it down as much as I can when threading with you.

Notes: As a heads up, I borrow a lot of characterization details from the side stories in Doki Doki Literature Club Plus – however, as mentioned above, since I primarily play Yuri from Act 1 of the vanilla game, those events have not happened for her (though I'm happy to play in that timeline with canonmates!). In addition, I am not taking into account any of the weird Metaverse stuff added in DDLC+'s framing device due to lack of solid canon info and my own preferences.

YURI Age 18 Gender Female Height 5’5” Build Booba First Impressions VISUAL: Yuri is a Japanese teenager, described as having a build that is both 'elegant' and mature (and since this is anime, this means she has big boobs). She's quite tall for a girl her age, with most of her height being in her legs. She has long, pin-straight dark purple hair that falls to her thighs with a small hairslide holding some of it back from her face. She has purple eyes and a gentle, mature sort of face. AURAL: She has a low, quiet voice and fumbles over her words quite a bit. She tends to speak as if she's always unsure of what she's saying, usually trailing off or hastening to soften her words if she think she's stated an opinion a bit too strongly. When she's more comfortable, her speech becomes a bit more steady and when she's talking about something she's excited about or invested in, her speech is pretty effortless... if a bit excessive. She has a pretty formal vocabulary, usually speaking a bit more politely and properly than is really called for and she occasionally reaches for words that a bit unusual to hear in casual speech. OLFACTORY: She likes incense and essential oils, so that's usually what she smells of. She drinks a lot of green tea as well, so you might occasionally get a waft of that too. Demeanour & Personality Highlights ✦ EXTREMELY socially awkward and shy. Has difficulty dealing with large groups of people and will often shrink away/make herself inconspicuous in large social gatherings. ✦ Tends to look smaller than she actually is due to slouching and cowering when she's meeting new people. When she's more comfortable, she holds herself to her proper height. ✦ Moves very "elegantly", as described by the game. ✦ Nearly always has a massive book with her and buries herself in reading as often as she can. If people engage her in the things she enjoys, she'll get particularly excited. MISCELLANIOUS NOTES ✦ Always wears clothes that cover her arms/have long sleeves, even in very hot weather. permissions art credit, code credit
